The Seed House

welcomes
Devin Devine

Visionary Eco-art
We are excited to bring multi talented artist Devin Devine out the the Seed House for a night of inspiration, knowledge and fun.  Devin is another artist within the creative community that is consatntly exploring creativity and different media to play with.  His Visionary Eco Art rises above, and is a magnificent feat, and form of sculpture to witness. He Leads a Permaculture Meet Up group providing workshops on many facets of creativity and natural methods of building, creating and living.

Devin Devine Artist Statement:
Stacked stone sculpture, artisan crafts and other natural material arts.

Supra-mystical, quasi-mythical, at least partially biological and reborn
within a never-ending sign of infinite, shimmering, scintillating and
radiant light. I do manifest before you now on a sacred mission and a holy
quest to bring forth unto you the Lithadelia, the Visionary Eco Art, to
awaken the stones of the earth and to convince them to flow, and to make
clear to all that which is, for me at least, the true nature of our
reality: that all matter is conscious, all things are connected and
furthermore are filled with densely packed information and that stuff can
often be transmuted into other stuff. Frequently, even. But not too often,
just often enough. Depends on how we’re feeling that week.

...In my work you will see the small little bits that make up our world
get up and take life. With living language, messages from deep mind,
sometimes becoming apparent and a’lighting upon their surfaces. You will
see stone swirling, and melting and reforming and crystalizing into
geometrical lessons. Or maybe it’s just pretty stuff made with rocks. You
say potato.
